Three things your website should do

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find myself having to find supporting arguments for the good advice we give to our clients. Here, Forbes has done the work for me.

1) Go mobile

More than ever before people are shopping/searching with mobile devices. If you don’t have a mobile optimised website you are missing an increasing share of potential customers. A mobile optimised site should at the very least be responsive and have the capabilities to take payment from mobile customers.

2) Keep it simple

Customers are time poor so cut the unnecessary hoo haa. Make sure that your product offering is clear and easy to find. There is nothing worse than a whole lot of flash and hoo haa getting in the way of a great product offering.

3) Tell a story

Wrap a story around it so it’s memorable. Do you or your existing customers have an interesting story about your product or service? Tell the world, make it interesting and fun. As Seth Godin says “all marketers are story tellers”. People are bombarded by 5000 advertisements per day so stand out from the crowd and engage your customer base.
